(ARCHIVE) Squier Vista Series Musicmaster Bass Sonic Blue
- Description
- Guitarchives
Squier Vista Series Musicmaster bass, made 1997 in Taiwan in aged sonic blue. These were made for one year only, 1997, and were a reissue of Fender's Musicmaster bass that was made 1971-81. Just like everything in Squier's Vista series, the build quality is excellent, and these enjoy quite the cult following. It's basically a stripped down version of the also-short-scale Mustang bass. This weighs almost nothing, has a slim little comfy neck and simple electronics... really you just pick up and play; everything is easy. The finish was originally a pristine sonic blue, but twenty years of aging has seen it yellow to a super sweet surf green type hue; it's seriously stunning! This is a supremely charming little bass.

There's two big chips on the bottom edge, as pictured in the close-ups. side from that, there's some minor dents and scratches around the place, nothing too noticeable. Overall: good condition (7/10)
