Taylor 114CE, made in Mexico 2011, natural finish. Taylor make lovely guitars, and this too, is a lovely guitar. The grand auditorium shape sounds pretty similar to a dreadnought, but there's a little extra definition to the tone and it sits a little more easily on your lap. The neck is awesome; it's a comfy slim shape that'll be a friend of for long sets. This has that typical Taylor crisp definition to the tone; the clear chiming top end is balanced nicely by a rounded natural bass. There's not a lot of marks and dings to show for nearly ten years of play, although the warmth and richness of the tone gives away the many hours of play that this has enjoyed. Tidy used Taylor guitars seldom appear in this part of the world, so make a new friend while this one is in the neighborhood.
