Taylor AD27e, natural mahogany finish, made in USA 2020. This dark and mysterious creature is part of Taylor's American Dream series, which is their most affordable all-solid, made in USA offerings. The body shape is called a Grand Pacific, which references Gibson's round shoulder dreadnoughts, but features some pretty different engineering under the hood owing to Taylor's V-class bracing system. It has that dark, warm base flavour like a J-45, but there's a lot more attack and brightness on the top end. It's got an easy-playing neck, with a fairly mild C shape and tidy fret and finish work... it has that ease of play typical to many Taylor guitars. The pickup works nicely too, it's pretty easy to get a tidy, crisp sound out front. Murica!
