Fender Jazz Bass, '75 reissue, made in Japan 2010/11 in beautiful natural gloss over ash. This is very tidy. The 3-piece ash body is stunning, it's on full display under the classy gloss finish. The slim maple neck feels very solid and reassuring, and the maple board with big blocks looks and feels spot-on. You get a nice attack and bite from the US pickups, they're rounded out nicely by the richness and warmth of the ash body. It's nicely weighted and not too heavy as ash-body Js go. Looks, feels and sounds the business; what more could you want?

Cosmetic condition notes: negligible finish wear. There's a couple of very minor scratches on the back, and you might be able to find a dimple or two on the front, but really it's almost new. The guard still has it's plastic covering, so it'll be crispy-fresh under there. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Set up with fresh 45/105s and feeling great!
