Fender Strat, '54 reissue in sassy fiesta red with soft V-neck and Lace Sensor Gold pickups, MIJ 1989/90. These '54 models were right up there with the top of the line Strats made out of the Fujigen plant in their day, and there's a whole lot to like about them. The Lace Sensor picks are very low noise and have a beautiful clear, articulate voice, they're very tasty. The mid-boost function allows you to go from Texas-Special style scooped tone right up to a big, thick, warm spank. You'll see a handful around in black, but this much-less-common fiesta red finish really does pop, especially with a few years under the belt. The soft-v profile neck takes about ten seconds to adjust to, after that, you're loving life moving around quickly and easily. This is MIJ Strat at it's best.

Cosmetic condition notes: Moderate finish wear. There's some scratches and dimples around the body, nothing too dramatic. There's the beginning of some finish checking on the lacquer near the bridge and on the back. The machine heads and string tree are pretty corroded but all work fine, we replaced the saddles on the bridge as the originals were pretty rusty. Back plate missing. Overall: fair condition (6/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have some wear have plenty of life left, maybe 7/10. Setup with fresh 10/46 strings. Playing so smoothly... save me from myself and take it off my hands.
