Fender Mustang, '69 reissue in competition blue, made in Japan 2004-05. These metallic finishes with the racing stripe really do look awesome, it's got an appealing retro aesthetic. This one has barely been touched in 12ish years, it could almost be new. The retro style white-button locking machine heads are a nice touch, and a previous owner has stained the board to a darker ebony-style look; it's a pro-job so it's very tidy with no bleed. Mustangs are pretty addictive to play, they're super slinky with a quick decay and big round tone; this is a classic example and is hard to put down. The slim neck is effortless in the hand and the body is very light, you're never working hard to play it. Your new favourite!

Model: Fender Mustang, '69 Reissue (MG69)
Made: 2004-05, Japan (serial R046339)
Finish: competition blue black, 3-ply white perl guard
Body: basswood
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale
Mods: locking white button machine heads, fretboard stained darker
Case: none
Neck and bridge pickup: Original Fender Japan Vintage Mustang style

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. If you look very closely, you can see a couple of shallow scratches on the back of the body and a couple of minor dings on the headstock, but you'd easily miss them even from 1ft away. The guard has barely any wear, the chrome is shiny and beautiful. Very close to showroom. Overall condition: excellent (9/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electronics and truss rod tested and working properly. Frets have been played but wear is negligible, 9/10. Easy player with with heaps of style!
