Fender '62 Reissue P in black, made in Japan 2012. This guy has had a super cool dark tort guard added, it look terrific and oozes attitude. The pickup has been switched to a Dimarzio Split-P. These are a pair of miniature blade-style humbuckers designed to widen the frequency range out and increase both the low-end rumble and thump as well as the cut and bite. It's certainly effective! The tone is thick, full, touch-sensitive and growly; perfect for punk and hardcore. P basses are a great no-nonsense option for a busy player, this one just packs a little more grunt!
