Fender '57 Reissue Strat in classic 2TS, crafted in Japan 99-02. This is a higher-end model with a really sweetly grained alder body and a set of USA-made Texas Special pickups. These pickups rule... they're moderately hot in output and have a tight, scooped, smooth attack that absolutely loves a bit of overdrive. The nuances of your playing really come out nicely, you can dig in for a lot of sizzle and growl or ease off for a a sweet, clear serenade. There's a proper gash on the front, but it's of no consequence playing-wise and lends the guitar a not-new-anymore look. These high ebd CIJ Strats really have a lot to offer, and when they look and sound this good, they're a stomping addition to anyone's collection.
Model: Fender Stratocaster '57 Reissue (ST57-70TX)
Made: Japan, 1999-02 (serial P039086)
Finish: 2-tone sunburst, 1-ply white guard
Neck: maple with maple board, dot inlays
Pickups: Fender USA Texas Specials
Cosmetic condition notes: moderate finish wear. The big gash on the front is pretty easy to spot, although it certainly doesn't hamper function at all, and is lessened in visual impact by being blacked-in. Aside from that, there's some light buckle rash on the back, play wear on the guard and a few dimples around the place, nothing else to note really. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have a little wear, no pitting to speak of, 8/10. Proper Strat spank in spades!
