Guild Starfire III hollow body electric in cherry red, made in Corona USA circa 2002. This is truly something to behold, and heaps of fun to play! The big maple body is light, resonant and beautiful, it's a pleasure to hold. The new version of this model has a mahogany body, so the added brightness and definition of maple, not to mention the pretty flame, is a tasty addition. The neck is round and moderately big while still being comfortable, it feels right, and the stock Guild pickups are really nicely balanced. Guild were only being made in Corona USA for about four years, most of the recent Starfires are made in Korea, so this certainly isn't common. Most USA-built hollow bodies with this sort of specs will set you back at least $2k, even on the used market, so this is truly a great buy. It'll happily cover folk, jazz, rockabilly, blues and classic rock with plenty of poise and swagger. The case is really nice too, with classy green lining. Versatile, bold and beautiful.
