This is a very serious bass indeed! The long-scale neck-thru construction gives this bass a huge amount of natural sustain and tone, you can really feel it even before you plug it in. The poplar-burl top is really something to behold, the grain is awesome. Great bass for metal, prog etc, but versatile enough to clean up nicely for those suit-and-tie gigs without breaking a sweat. Ibanez are extremely consistent in their build quality and this is another example of an instrument that's been put together with an amazing amount of care and attention. This mahogany/poplar-burl wood combo and gloss finish isn't available new anymore, these used to retail for a fair bit more than the ash/walnut versions still being produced today. Includes a deluxe Ibanez hardcase that's built to fit these models, a handy addition as it'd set you back approx $200-250 new. Pick up a monster bass for a killer price.

Cosmetic condition notes: Almost mint condition. Some barely visible dings in the lacquer near the neck pickup (two, both approx 1mm). Some of the black plastic covers still have the factory clear plastic layer on. Basically as-new.

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Set up currently in B-E-A-D-G-C, but could be re-set for any number of other tunings.
