Larrivee OM-03, made in Canada 2008. The first thing you notice when you pick this up is that is weighs almost nothing, it's super light! The next thing you notice is the classy details: the stunning figured ebony board, the maple binding, the lightweight Larrivee branded tuners... the list goes on. The satin finish, X bracing and thinly carved top all mean that every note you play pops right out of the body; it's loud, resonant, clear and articulate. The LR Baggs M1 system is magnetic, it's a nice departure from a standard piezo system in it's warmth and body. The neck is moderate in profile, not skinny but not big, and combined with the comfy OM body, it's a breeze to play. This is a classy acoustic from one of the world's cult favourite manufacturers.
