Used Yamaha Lord Player Red Sunburst 1985

Sold out

Used Yamaha Lord Player in red sunburst, made in Japan 1985. These were a Japan-market-only LP copy, the Lord Player model superseded the Studio Lord and had some more deluxe features including a mahogany body and the cheeky open-book headstock. This particular one is very clean overall, with only one proper ding on the top; the sunburst finish is in remarkable condition and looks awesome. The factory humbuckers produce a thick, warm, bright, clear tone, it's very easy to like. The slim neck is comfortable and quick and feels very sturdy. These guitars seriously challenge guitars going for ten times the price, so grab a giant-slayer and get going.

Manufacturer: Yamaha
Model: YamahaLord Player LP400
Made: Japan 1985 (best estimate on catalogue and serial; 5X21030)
Finish: red sunburst over plain maple
Body: mahogany with maple top
Neck: Mahogany
Weight: 4.0kg
Mods: None
Neck & bridge pickup: Original Yamaha covered humbucker

Cosmetic condition notes: Mild finish wear. There's one proper ding on the top near the switch, but aside from that, there's very little to speak of. There's a handful of minor marks around the body, nothing very noticeable. Chrome and plastics are looking good. Overall: very good condition.

Playing condition notes: Playing nicely. Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have been played but wear is fairly minimal, maybe 8/10. Feels great, sounds big, looks the part!
