(ARCHIVE) Van Diemens AAD Thylacine OC75 Fuzz Pedal
- Description
- Guitarchives
The Thylacine Fuzz shares some DNA with the legendary Tonebender mk1.5. This version is finished in hammered gold and is built around some gorgeous NOS OC75 germanium transistors. It's a rich, thick, chewy fuzz, with singing sustain and flavoursome saturation. The harmonics are great too, it's very expansive. Wind your guitar's volume control back a nudge, and it cleans up remarkably convincingly, perfect for honky blues stuff. You can't fake fuzz this rich, and other pedals with this kind of class under the hood fetch thrice the price. Long live the Thylacine.
Van Diemens Ananlogue Audio Disruptors is a one man show operating out of one of Hobart's beach suburbs. Everything inside is hand-wired to a turret board, using robust modern Alpha pots, Switchcraft jacks and an EHX switch inside a Hammond case, paired with NOS and reclaimed parts to deliver outstanding results, channeling the handmade pedals of many decades ago.
