Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors The Dasy Fuzz Pedal
The Dasy is based on the classic Dallas Arbitor Fuzz Face, driven by a pair of 70s NKT CV7007 germanium transistors. The tone is a gnarly, snarling, expansive take on the classic FF sound. It cleans up convincingly with a roll back of the volume control, adding a hairy haze around the edges of your notes. This is a superb boutique fuzz by one of the best in the game.
Transistors: 2x NKT CV7007, 1978
Other components: NOS Philips and Bianchi capacitors. Resistors are by Philips, Piher and Allen Bradley. Neutrik Jacks, Alpha 24mm Pots. Enclousre by Hammond, finished in Heavy Aged Black Hammertone.
Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors is the project of local tonehound Richard Turner, based out a small studio in Dodges Ferry, near Hobart, Australia. Richard uses NOS and recycled specialist components to create deluxe fuzz, boost and treble boost pedals. Each pedal is point-to-point hand wired on hand-cut phenolic boards, using transistors from 1950-70s and capacitors and resistors from 1960-99. The enclosures are hand-finished, and sent in plastic-free packaging.
