Vantage VA-10 Dreadnought c1990
Vantage VA-10 dreadnought, made in Korea 1990 approx. Vantage stuff originally came out of Japan in the late 70s; they were building some really innovative and super quality instruments and gained a bit of a cult following. The brand later moved production to Korea, so this is one of those later examples. It's a simple, agreeable player with a balanced tone and plenty of natural volume. The neck is comfy and moderate in profile; it's an easy player. This would be a perfect little campfire companion or knockabout songwriters companion.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has a couple of dimples on the end and near the logos on the front, as well as extra holes from a previous tuner on the back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has widespread dimples and scuffs, no major marks though. The sides have widespread dimples and scuffs around the whole body as well as a couple of little dents on the bottom horn. The front is pretty clean, just some dimples around the edge of the body and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets look pretty even and in good shape, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
