Yamaha BB300, vivid red finish, made in Taiwan 1991. This is a great little bass, it's got a lot to offer. Like many Yamaha instruments, it's very tidily made and feels reassuring and precise in the hands. The neck is a slightly chunky P-ish profile with a lovely piece of rosewood on the board; it's easy to get along with and balances nicely against the lightweight body. There's a certain 'punch' these Broad Bass models typically have, and this certainly has it: heaps of attack and a nice creamy rounded midrange. The bare-bones look has a certain early 90s throwback charm; just grab a pair of extremely baggy pants and a headband and you're off and racing.

The back has a handful of small scuffs and dents around the middle of the body, no major marks though. The sides have some scuffs on the shoulder and bottom horn and some little dents and marks near the jack. The front is pretty clean, just some little dings on the shoulder and some play scratches above and below the strings. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear but are in great shape, 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
