(ARCHIVE) Yamaha FG-170 Folk Size Acoustic 1974
- Description
- Guitarchives
Yamaha FG-170, made in Japan 1974, natural gloss. Yamaha's FG series launched in the 1960s and has been made in one form or another continuously to this day. This little cutie is a folk size, similar in dimensions to a Martin 00 or a Maton 808, so it sits on your lap comfortably. It's got a balanced, unassuming tone with plenty of body and roundness; it has the eloquence typical of a smaller body paired with the airy natural volume of a guitar with plenty of years on the clock. This is a charming little thing.
