Yamaha FG-202 acoustic, made in Japan 1968 approx, natural finish. These vintage FG series guitars are nice little things. This one dates to the late sixties, according to headstock shape and serial, but the exact year beyond that is a little mysterious. It's similar in size and shape to a Martin 000, so it's got the 24.8" scale and a smaller 'auditorium' size body. It's in remarkable shape for a sixties guitar, it looks seriously schmick. The neck is a comfy very soft-V profile, it's fairly slim and very agreeable and never makes you work too hard. The fretboard is a gorgeous super dark piece of rosewood, you don't see that on new guitars often! Being a smaller body, it's easy to hold and get around and it has a certain presence and honk through the midrange, so it's a lot of fun for fingerstyle playing or bluesy riff work. If you're after a handy little companion for the couch at your place, this is a tidy little housemate.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor scuffs on the end and back. The neck is clean and smoorth in the hands, there's a couple of dents in the back and some glossing from play. The back has widespread light scuffs and surface scratches, no major marks though. The sides have a few dimples in the elbow area and some light scuffs on the bottom edge. The front is pretty tidy, just some light marks on the bottom side down from the bridge and some standard play wear on the guard and around the soundhole. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets look have some minor wear but look great, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
