(ARCHIVE) Yamaha MB-1 Motion Bass Pearl White 1987

- Guitarchives
Yamaha MB-1, pearl white, made in Japan 1987. The Motion Bass series is quintessentially 80s: pearl finishes, fancy hardware, shred-friendly neck, weird headstock, brass nut... just add a cold war and you've got it all. Being super lightweight and a medium scale, this is super easy to play. It's comfy and compact without feeling cramped; you can easily get all the way up to the 24th fret and back down again without breaking a sweat. The pickups deliver plenty of output and growl, it's a fat and full sound with plenty of detail. This would serve well for a long-gigs player, but there's plenty to enjoy for the rest of us too.
