Yamaha PB400RA bass, made in Japan 1985, hot pink. Well, here's the bass you never knew you needed! These PB400RA models are an evolution of the late 70s 'Pulser Bass'; they're fairly accurate vintage Precision copies built to a brilliant standard. It's got the lightweight ash body and spiral saddle bridge you only usually see on the higher end Fenders, plus the neck and frets are perfect, it all fits together nicely... everything feels spot-on. The tone is awesome: rich mids with heaps of grind, an immediate punchy attack and heaps of low end heft. The finish isn't just pink, it's a lurid hot pink that has the audacity to extend all over the neck and headstock for good measure. These normally only come in the standard red, black or white, so grab yourself a horrendous/glorious anomaly that surely only the mid eighties could have ever produced.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has some minor dimples on the end. Neck has no major marks. The back has a couple of small dents near the neck plate, on the top horn and top back corner, as well as widespread light scuffs; nothing nasty. The sides have no major marks, just some dimples on the shoulder and near the jack. The front is very tidy, just some vey light scuffs around the bridge and some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear but look great, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
