Yamaha SA700 Super Axe, natural gloss, made in Japan 1981. The Super Axe is Yamaha's copy of the classic Gibson 335, and they're very good indeed. The build quality is incredible; everything is exactly where it should be, the attention to detail is remarkable. The natural finish is much less common than the trans-red, and gosh it really looks stunning. This one is in great shape too, there's really not much to show for it's 36+ years on the planet. The lacquer has yellowed beautifully to a really stunning deep golden hue, it's seriously appealing, especially with the contrasting deep red-brown of the mahogany neck on full display. The trapeze tailpiece is non-original; you can see the blocked holes from the stock stop-tail that's been removed; a cool but easily reversible mod. This sounds fantastic; it's an absolute breeze to full a thick, creamy, full tone; it's so satisfying! We love these vintage Yamahas around here, because they're exceptionally good guitars packed with vintage mojo for stupidly little cash. This is a perfect semi-hollow just waiting for a new lover to show her a good time.

Overall: very good condition (8.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly.
