Hi friends. Well, safe to say it's been a thoroughly strange year, so given the unfolding conditions around the nation I figured it was worth an update.
First, a big thanks to those of you who bought gear in June and helped us raise $1480 for Change The Record. These guys do amazing work fighting First Nations incarceration and working for a fairer, kinder Australia.
Second, there's still a dang pandemic going on. Here in Hobart, things are super quiet; there's next to no active cases and with the borders still closed, things are very stable. We're still running additional hygiene measures in store: sanitising hands before touching the gear, wiping guitars down afterwards etc. We've also expanded the shop into the second side of the building, previously setup as a gallery space, to create more square metres of floor space and ensure plenty of elbow room for customers. Freight is still going out nationally and internationally without issue; some things are taking an extra business day or two but it's largely been operating smoothly.
Because of the times, we're bring back free freight within Australia for all our friends around the country who are once more stuck in their homes. This time around, it'll be free freight for orders over $195. Just use the code '2020' at checkout and we'll get stuff going outta here and to your door on us.
We're adding an exclusion for amps weighing over 20kg; those will still attract a standard freight fee. It's purely pragmatic; we're trying to stock more amps and the big ones take a heap of time and materials to pack and cost a fortune to ship, so given we run on a skinny margin all the time, we need to pass that freight cost on.
I'd like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who's supported the shop this year, it's been heartwarming to be part of people's music making during this tricky time.
