Fender '70 Precision Bass, olympic white, made in Japan 1993-4. I love these 70s style P basses, they're awesome. This has the Dee Dee Ramone aesthetic, with the big bold black CBS era logos, rosewood slab board and a strong reverse tuxedo black and white finish... funk as puck. The white has yellowed significantly to a buttery yellow with a few marks around the place, which combined with the aged hardware, black guard and streaky rosewood, looks awesome. The combo of an ash body and a USA pickup makes for a lively, bright and articulate take on the classic P-punch... it's clear and snappy, but never lacking for meaty heft through the low end. The slightly slimmer 40mm nut makes for a fast and comfy neck, and paired with a lightweight body, this is a really fun and easy bass to play. I really dig this, I hope you can give it a loving home.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. The headstock has some minor scuffs on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has a few light scuffs and dimples around the outside of the body, nothing nasty. The sides have minor dimples and scuffs on both horns and near the jack, as well as some marks and a decent chip in the elbow area. The front is pretty tidy, just a few dimples around the bridge and some standard play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look pretty good, minor wear only; 8/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.

This listing is an archived entry. We love to look back and remember fondly what characters we've had through the store, so we keep them around for reference.
